I have a team of friends that left yesterday for Ghana, West Africa. I was supposed to be with them. Why I didn’t go on this trip is another post for another time.
I wanted to share a comment I left with them before the trip: Say Yes.
When going on a mission trip you are presented with many growth opportunities. You will come across different needs and you just might be the person that can fill the need.
I’ve had the privilege of going to Ghana twice. Each time I had the opportunity to be stretched. Different needs arose and I said Yes. I’ll paraphrase what my good friend Ryon once said: “God didn’t bring me to Ghana, so I could say no.”
Growth happens in the stretching moments. The stretching moments are necessary. Embrace them and Say Yes. You might be surprised at how you feel on the other side.
